About Us (Small Heath Unity Choir)
MISSION STATEMENT

'To bring people into a relationship with Christ through evangelism; and to bring them to maturity by a process of discipleship'.

'To develop true worshippers and faithful responsible stewards; and to build our fellowship through genuine love, mutual care and practical support.'

Purpose of Small Heath Unity Choir

The Small Heath Unity Choir has been founded for one purpose, that purpose is;
‘A shared desire to worship God through Gospel music’

The purpose of SHUC is also to worship and serve God in order to spread his wonderful news in song, so that the unsaved will acknowledge him. The purpose and ministry of the choir is ‘energetic’ and ‘spirit-filled’.

Our Aims and Objectives

To continue to allow God to lead the choir, which will enable us to grow spiritually.

To utilise our talents as instruments for God, so that the gospel message can be communicated to those in need.

To express ourselves so that the power of God's anointing is reflected as we minister in song.

We will endeavour to perform in a professional and structural manner at all times.

To develop each sector within the choir in order to achieve the mission of the church.

All members of the Gospel Choir are totally committed to the work God has planned for us to do.

NEVIS TOUR 2007

Members of the Small Heath Unity Choir had the opportunity to minister at the Shiloh Baptist Church, in Charlestown Nevis.
Our Tour was from Mon 28th May 2007 - Mon 4th June 2007.

The choir ministered two 'mind blowing' events on Fri 1st June at the Culturama Complex and on Sat 2nd June at the Gingerland School, Nevis.

Prior to these events members of the choir was heavely involved with radio interviews, VON (Voice of Nevis), Choice FM and Paradise to name a few.

We were also given the opportunity to sing on various TV stations in Nevis.
'Being on radio and TV in another country is absolutely mind blowing and somehow just didn't seem real' says Carol Clarke, Director, Small Heath Unity Choir.

As well as experiencing the sunny whether, wonderful food, friendly people, the choir thought it was a journey worthwhile despite the length of time it took for us to reach to our place of destination

Above all we are truely thankful to God the Father for making this event possible, and above it all, we the Small Heath Unity Choir have made a 'mark' in Nevis.
